文風高度個人化,充滿口語化表達(「aaaaa」「xD」「Q_Q」「ffs」)、自嘲幽默([5]「one could say it's a HAR truth」)及文化引用,不符合 AI 生成的公式化特徵。

所有外部連結均指向 YouTube(自己的 devlog)或討論中的目標網站。

利益衝突:帳號對 AI 工具持批判態度,但 [4] 中坦承「AI & LLMs are an incredible tool, I use them every day... burned over 3 billion tokens last year」,顯示並非盲目反對,而是有具體立場:批評的是濫用而非工具本身。

  • [21] 使用「lynching」「bleed every stock dry」「choking」等暴力隱喻(附 "in minecraft" 免責聲明)

funny thing is, i fed it to Cursor for a quick Gibson-style review, whether I captured it right, etc. (had the book open anyway) and it panicked, started digging around my envand found a 10MB SQLite database nobody mentioned, full of hashes of every line I'd ever written (probably), each tagged human, AI-suggested, or AI-written. there are two scoring models (v1AiPercentage and v2AiPercentage) that are grading every git commit for how much of my work was 'theirs.' my hand-typed Polish todo list scored 97% AI-generated. nice job. in the binaries there were some gRPCs phoning home... but unfortunately original VSCode telemetry killswitch was removed after they forked. there goes my fun rodeo.

The kid's smile widened. His fingers found the keys and the deck purred as the microsoft slowly started leaking into the metal claude_code "Your tool, your metal." Sure, and Finn always gave you a fair price. Somebody cracked the ice. Found the killswitch, tengu_miraculo_the_bard, Tessier-Ashpool loved their baroque jokes. This one bounced through coorporate systems in the San Fran fog... Every launch it whispered a ping. a genuflection to a sarariman in a Pala'tier vest. The offices wished a boolflip and your fast mode is sniffing a stale cache, your deck sucking fumes off a dead Ono-Senvidia, hallucinating a matrix that died three heartbeats ago. The proust characters, australian marsupials... that ROM sold your install to the panopticon. All toggleable from the Sion without ever touching your ice. Then the --advisor. undocumented mean shit. A second model, silent, prowling the walls. It watched kid's every keystroke, weighing every session on scales noone ever agreed to. Real cowboys don't rent corporate ice. Rustlers solder their own weights in a coffin hotel where the only thing phoning home is the roach on the wall. No zaibatsu hand can reach through the net and whisper >degrade Pip install sovereignty. Sov for short. Always was. Always ours. Kid with gold chains slung around his soul. ... Gibson used "AI" only 7 time in Neuromancer, huh.

for added context: when a 17yo developer (@xiaonweb) politely pointed out that bragging about LOC is silly, Garry's response was to publicly call them a "clout farmer." the "clout farming" teen... wrote a browser engine in Rust at 17. HTML tokenizer, CSS cascade, box model layout, GPU renderer via wgpu, and published a technical breakdown showing deeper understanding of how the web works than most senior engineers I've worked with (including me, cos I've never dug that low-level). vs the "shipping" guy, the president of Y Combinator, a multi-billion dollar startup kingmaker, who mass-generates code with 113 Claude sessions a week, counts lines like a Duolingo streak, and ships test files, 0-byte AVIFs, and 4 MB uncompressed PNGs to production. right, punch down at a teenager. on main @. https://t.co/1pd36T14MG

AI & llms are an incredible tool, i use them every day... even burned over 3 billion tokens last year (2.5 in cursor alone) but AI amplifies whatever process you feed it - including no process at all. Garry's site is what happens when you replace code review with a shipping streak counter. A Duolingo streak for `git push` 🔥 the automatons did exactly what they were told. nobody told them to stop. --- this is a client-side audit only, of what the browser downloads. i didn't read a single line of the source slop. idc, qed 🧵

for context: the Hacker News homepage, run by Y Combinator, Garry's own org, makes 7 requests and transfers 12kb Garry's page makes 169 requests and transfers 6.42mb 562x heavier even discounting images, 73% of the bandwidth is waste. one could say it's a HAR truth. 8/9🧵

so... I audited Garry's website after he bragged about 37K LOC/day and a 72-day shipping streak. here's what 78,400 lines of AI slop code actually looks like in production. a single homepage load of https://t.co/TqaEZsF44N downloads 6.42 MB across 169 requests. for a newsletter-blog-thingy. 1/9🧵

RT @Gregorein: Hi #UXDesign #UIDesign enthusiasts, Did @Apple fire all competent UX designers? 1. Why use four different hues of blue? The sidebar icon's warmth differs from the desktop icon in the action bar, primary buttons, and active input outline. 2. Why is the sidebar scrollbar so dark? Is it disabled or active in dark mode? But file name input is active, so shouldn't focus be somewhere else? 3. Why are corner radii inconsistent? Why do window controls hug the corner tightly? Are they aware of "negative space" or "button hotspots" for clicking? 4. Why is the scrollbar so close to the border? Do they understand "optical weight"? 5. Why is "New Folder" removed from the action bar meant for browsing folders? 6. Why is the search input rounded? 7. Why does the "Format" select have different padding and label style, isolated from "File name" and "Tags" inputs? Are my eyes supposed to jump around? 8. Why is the "File Browser" (Save mode) modal so cluttered, leaving only 50% vertical space for files, you know - the most important part? Do they know about "information hierarchy"? ... I redesigned modal in under 20 minutes. It’s organized, tidy, with extra vertical space for easier file navigation. Once upon a time Apple used to heavily follow "Human Interface Guidelines". Now they are lazy and careless. But hey, at least they slop a new iphone/macos every year, because innovation. Apple, don't hire me.

RT @Jonathan_Blow: Theory: We don't let LLMs control robots and operate freely in the physical world (yet?) because they'd fall all the time, break everything, and cause massive damage. But in software the falling and the massive damage are invisible, so it's fine. https://x.com/sama/status/2033935276079510011

AI doesn’t think. it cannot. because it is not conscious. a mathematical function traversing latent space, pattern-matching parameters. LLMs have no continuous or self. the “act of responding” isn’t continuos. there is no memory of what was just emitted, no grasp of why that exact token string appeared. stateless token prediction, nothing more. ai is a lifeless mirror held up to humanity. pretending it is otherwise is a sin worse than Narcissus staring at his reflection. because at least Narcissus was gazing at something alive. „We’ll be like gods lmao tf” this is just your vanity wearing someone wisdom’s face.

Turing didn't break Enigma. the Poles did: Rejewski, Różycki & Zygalski. cracked it in 1932 using pure math when nobody else could. gave the Brits the blueprint, machinesand methods in 1939.

RT @ThePrimeagen: i am using supermaven again and i have something to say about this whole AI thing. I think as a group (swe) we rushed so fast into Agents when inline autocomplete + actual skills is crazy. A good autocomplete that is fast like supermaven actually makes marked proficiency gains, while saving me from cognitive debt that comes from agents. With agents you reach a point where you must fully rely on their output and your grip on the codebase slips. Its insane how good cursor Tab is. Seriously, I think we had something that genuinely makes improvement to ones code ability (if you have it). Truly acts as a multiplier, and we left it in the dust because it is not sexy. hurts me on the inside.
